Throwing knives have limited range and
accuracy compared to arrows, but offer a
quick-and-easy ranged attack.

Undead who lack other means of ranged
attacks will do well to stock a few of these.

Use

A projectile weapon. When thrown, it flies in the direction the player is facing and inflicts damage. Related to Poison Throwing Knife.

Availability

• Undead Merchant Male in Undead Burg for 10 souls.
• Found as treasure on a dead body in Undead Burg.
• Drop from Painting Guardians in Anor Londo (10% drop rate 1x, 5% drop rate 2x)

Notes

Observed to have critical hit properties like a bow when used on a Undead crystal soldier (while locking on), depending on terrain and distance. Possibly due to these types of enemies being shorter than normal and thus have their heads positioned where the knife will land. When the knife connects, you can visibly see it lodged in the head.
