List of things that needs to be done … such as putting together a list of things that need to be done. :)

Cross out any completed work by editing the page, highlighting one or more of the things that need to be done, and pressing the S with a - over it.

Priority:

Fix all info that is outdated because of patch 1.05. A large portion of the info is incorrect. Scaling, Stat reqs, parameters, poise. ANYTHING that has been modified. Also, many pages still do not have images. Please, if anybody has HD images of armor, weapons, or items that we do not yet have, add it.

  • I really want to help to complete weapons upgrade info. Is there a standard upgrade table that I can use for every weapon?

Admin ToDo

  • Please create a link to Exploits in the "General Information" section of the left panel, or wherever else you see fit. This does not need a link on the wiki. :D
  • Perhaps move "Covenants" from "Your Character" to "The World" on the top bar navigation. Since covenants affect the character, it would be more fit to put it there than "The World."
  • level-up-souls Could you Link the "Level / Souls" Page to the Navigation Bar under "Your Character" ?   • upload icons of armor from http://photobucket.com/dsupam1 and http://photobucket.com/dsupam2 onto wiki. Icons for most of the armors are present. missing ones: gargoyle helm, hollow theif set, sack, symbol of avarice.
  • The "Weapons" page states "Magic" for Y stat. Might want to change it to "Intelligence", unless this affects Demon's Souls wiki too? - sorted, thx I'm being picky, there is still one mention of the Magic stat in one of the sentences :) ("while lower-than-required Magic and/or Faith will reduce the Magic damage of the weapon.")

  • Create new move lists for weapons or make it possible for members to edit them. (not possible for members to edit move lists as it is now)

If you have a HD PVR, or any other hi-definition recorder:

  • Weapon movesets for each weapon type. Not all are necessary, but any unique moves are. Having this instead of a wall of text explaining moveset would be great. Credit goes to VarietyX for suggesting it. (Lightning_Count-Lightning_Count-)

Other stuff that anyone can help with

Please stop tagging content with your user name. It makes the actual page content harder to read. Page History is sufficient to record activity.

  • Grammar cleanup of existing pages (Cleaned early Area pages)
  • Removal of opinion/personal tone on existing pages
  • Add or correct in-text links to the proper pages
  • Create a clear, concise guide to weapon and armor upgrades
  • Create pages for any nonexistent pages
  • FR translations for Wiki
  • All NPC Black Phantoms list
  • Proper images for Covenants (pictures of NPCs, items, etc.)
  • Proper images for weapons, keys, or other misc items/gifts
    • Is there a particular place to host images for this wiki? I've seen a bunch of images hosted on people's photobucket accounts, or directly linked from other sites. That shouldn't happen.
    • I believe there is, but in order to upload files directly to the wiki, you would have to be an administrator/selected moderator. While on the subject of equipment/item/etc. images, Rick of Gibbed has the majority of the icons up with transparent backgrounds (e.g. see the icons for the Standard armor set on the wiki currently). I assume uploading icons for items fall under the job for the administrator, so I just wanted to clarify if this is correct or not.
  • Proper images for sorceries, pyromancies and miracles? I'm not talking about the icons (still needed), but of a character casting the sorcery/pyromancy/miracle.
  • Proper images for summoning signs to add in online page.
  • Since I have no Clue how to properly edit, I request someone to take a look at the "Shields" Page. The three Tabs "Small Shields", "Normal Shields" and "Large Shields" have non matching underheadlines. Besides that in the "Normal Shield"-Tab someone wrote "Duration", I am quite sure he ment "Durability".
  • Proper titles for pages (Do not put things like "stat" or "item" in page name) - how should we point out the difference between humanity as a stat and humanity as an item?
  • Add Equipment other than starting equips
  • A section for people to post stats of items if they do not know how to edit the tables?
  • Get ahead of PvP item duping. Make a page discouraging PvP use, and how to identify it and report to Sony/MS. Rapidfire infinite throwing knives, etc.
  • make use of wiki categories to groups weapons, armor, stats, etc.
  • If you want to fill gaps then have a look at the page of missing information -most probably incomplete but a good start to see where help is needed
  • Add Curse effect, or status effects, or if they exist, its difficult to find and it shouldn't be that way Eric FloresEric Flores

    • If you look at the page source of the weapons page you will see the name of the pages it is including in the table. In this case it looks like the curved sword page is named swords2 and that would be the page to edit to add the Shotel. Unless I am not understanding the problem.
  • NPCs dialogs transcription
    • I started to upload some NPCs dialogs on my youtube channel (more videos to come), if someone wants to transcribe what the NPCs are saying, feel free to contribute (http://www.youtube.com/user/MichelKobayashi?feature=mhee#g/u)

      • I was also helping transcribe videos. We migth need new videos showing missing dialogue. Is there anyone interested?
  • Add a table showing what Soul Level most players are when they go on a specific boss fight : this should help people who try to get summoned but don't know where they actually have any chance of being seen and summoned. (forgive the somewhat approximative English here)
  • Furtive pygmy page. Although he's very mysterious and nothing confirmed, I think he deserves a page. A little info about him is given in Darkstalker Kaathe dialogs. (Edit: It is generally assumed that your character is the one in possession of the furtive pygmy's lord soul. However, if enough people want it, a basic page could be made with some of the dialog clues.) Yes please, I was reading the Story page today, and the line about "so easily forgotten" without a wiki link seems ironic. ;)
  • A page (or two) to shows every type of phantoms (with images) and explain who they are can be useful for new players.
  • Add a page for Sin, listing all the possible sins (killing Priscilla, killing NPCs, breaking covenants,…).
  • Please add information describing the mechanics of combat "Overkills" and the 20% soul boost. If you do a search for it, it is mentioned in passing on item pages, but not as a mechanic or even a pro-tip. The Souls page is mainly used as a table of items, so perhaps at the top of the Enemies page? On my NG I frequently get overkills in the Painted World, making it especially good for farming.

  • There are actually two separate Traveling Gloves in the game, one for the Cleric Set and another for the Big Hat's Set. As far as I can tell, only the Big Hat version does not actually have a page on the wiki. Not quite sure what to name it however in regards to the link+actual page to avoid confusion.
